1 Corinthians 1:10 “Now I plead with you brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

This comes from a letter written by Paul in which he addresses the Corinthians. At this part, per my ESV study notes, Paul’s primary concerns with the Corinthians,  was their pride. A pride which led them to “value outward appearance and eloquence instead of the genuine work of the Spirit.”

So this makes me think of society now. Girls, women, are constantly bombarded to be thin, to have the perfect body, the flat tummy, the “right” measurements, and the right weight. Girls get so worried about their weight and their flaws according to society, that they overlook the truly beautiful perfect daughter of God.

Our views as a society need to change. Instead of telling us what is deemed the perfect body, we need to help each other focus of whats more important…who we are and how can be a blessing to someone else.
